Stop dreaming and take the first step to a career in music production and enrol now for the Complete Music Production Course (CMP100) at the Soul Candi Institute of Music in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The course starts the 4th of February and runs for 10 months. Class will consist of theory lectures and practical training. Through this academic and practical learning experience; integrating production and music theory, the CMP100 covers a variety of influential styles, relevant technologies and career opportunities open to today’s music professionals.

The course is made up of three modules and includes: Music Theory; Synthesis; Routing; Dynamics Processing; Mixing and EQ; Arrangement; Effect Processing; Post-production; and Mastering.

Since 2004 the SCIM has offered the most up to date training in music productions and DJ skills. SCIM’s mission is to educate, train and shape students to excel in music as a career, whilst optimising the opportunities, for the students and the industry alike, by integrating the platforms of the SCIM with those of Soul Candi the Record Label (Africa’s biggest independent record label); hereby nurturing and developing talent to create long-term sustainability within the Southern African Music and Entertainment Industries.

SCIM represents a growing network of industry professionals who use their openness, skill, and versatility to take music in new directions. CMP100 course details:
Where: Soul Candi Institute of Music, Cape Town.
When: Starts 4th February
Duration: 10 months
Lectures: 2 lessons per week (2 hour lecture and 1 and half hour practical)
Costs: Payment Plan A = R 28 000 (monthly payment plan)
1 x R 3 000 registration fee (payable before 31 Dec 2012)
10 x R 2 500 monthly instalments (1st instalment 25 Jan 2013)

Payment Plan B = R 25 200 (Full payment – receiving 10% discount).
